I cannot seem to locate any documentation listing the step for successfully installing SF-Active using FTP alone. In other words, without having access to command line to enter all those CHOWN and on a shared webhosting company's, how does one successfully install and run SF-Active?
Hi there,
Having been unable to successfully dadaimc onto my shared webhosting provider, I am trying SF-Active.
I do not at the moment have command line access to the space on my webhosting company's server. I am using SmartFTP as my client software, and have no trouble doing the CHMOD using SmartFTP, so that part of it is as far as I get. How does one install SF-Active using only an FTP client software and FTP access alone?
Help!

if you can't chown. chmod directories to 777 chmod files to 666
that should work but is not necessarly very secure.
